Giant Omelette Celebration this weekend

Load up the family, get your cameras ready, and head to Abbeville for an egg-citing time. It’s the 2025 Giant Omelette Celebration happening in Magdalene Square, November 1st and 2nd.

Get a taste of great Cajun food, view antique implements, and one-of-a-kind arts and crafts. Crack an egg with a tractor in the Tractor Egg Cracking Competition at this year’s 41st Annual Giant Omelette Celebration in Abbeville.

Live music, LeBlanc Elementary fiddlers, dancers, and the L’Ogepas students, followed by Katie and Giano and Poisson Rouge.

Sunday morning French Mass at St. Mary Magdalene Church to bless the eggs and bread, antique cars, music from Geno Delafose and French Rockin’ Boogie, procession of chefs and eggs at one. The Fa-Tras take the stage at 1:30, along with the event everyone is waiting for. The preparation of the 5000 Egg Giant Omelette. For a full list of events, check out GiantOmelette.org.
