Lafayette Ballet Theatre has released the cast for The Nutcracker on Saturday, December 10, and Sunday, December 11, 2022. The Nutcracker performances include 150 student performers from throughout Acadiana.

The cast includes professional company dancers from Lafayette Ballet Theatre and dancers studying ballet in local academies in Acadiana. Also included are principal guest artists from esteemed ballet academies including soloists Jonathan Baptista and Angelica Generosa from Pacific Northwest Ballet in Seattle and Alaina Andersen from Miami City Ballet.

Lafayette Ballet Theatre will present two performances of “The Nutcracker” at 7 p.m. Saturday, December 10, and 2 p.m. Sunday, December 11, in the Heymann Performing Arts Center. The show promises a magical experience as talented artists, dazzling stage sets, theatrical special effects and Peter Tchaikovsky’s delightful musical score bring this engaging E.T.A. Hoffmann tale to life before their eyes!
