Freedom 106.7, along with the City of Scott, Scott Police Department, Don’s Specialty Meats, Uncle T’s Oyster Bar, Cashway Pharmacy, Cody’s Crawfish, and Chief of Police Chad Leger, invite you to enjoy the sights and sounds of the Scott Business Association Mardi Gras Parade on Sunday, February 12, 2023.
Chief Chad Leger and the Scott Police Department want to remind the public of some important information for the 2023 Scott Mardi Gras Parade. The parade will begin at 1:00 pm at Delhomme and Specialty Machine Loop and End at Apollo Road and Benoit Patin Road. Due to construction, the parade route is reversed this year. Roads will be closed at Noon, and No one will be allowed to travel upon the roadways once they are closed.
Other important information to keep in mind is:

Any vehicle blocking a roadway will be towed at the owner’s expense; this includes trailers and items placed along the parade route.

All parade-goers are suggested to arrive at their destination along the parade route early.

The parade is expected to last approximately three hours; therefore, residents should make all necessary arrangements ahead of time to avoid inconveniences.

This is a family-friendly event. No sexually oriented items or items depicting illegal drugs are allowed to be sold, thrown, or displayed at the event. No vulgar music will be tolerated by eventgoers or on floats.

No glass containers are allowed along the route.

Take a photo of your child on your mobile device before departing for the parade.

Dress children in bright clothing.

If your child has health conditions, please consider a medical info ban on their wrist.

Write your phone number out of sight on your child’s person.

No vehicles can be parked along the route until sunrise on Sunday Morning.
