Plans are underway for the Rayne Mardi Gras Parade and Gumbo Cook-off to be held on January 20, 2024. Join our Frog City as we Jump Start the Mardi Gras Season in Acadia Parish!

This year’s parade theme is Celebrating the Traditions of Mardi Gras. We will showcase the different Mardi Gras costumes and traditions found in Acadiana. Additionally, joining our procession is the newly built Louisiana Tourism Float—no need to travel to New Orleans or other places to experience Mardi Gras!

After the parade, you don’t want to miss the Gumbo cook-off, with Karaoke performances provided by local leaders and maybe some city officials. Witness them entertain the crowd with their singing abilities. You, too, can take centerstage and be a Star!
