Students in Louisiana, and in Lafayette Parish, made big gains on a closely watched national test.

Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries enforcement agents cited three subjects for hunting violations in Jefferson Davis Parish on Jan. 23.

The world-famous Budweiser Clydesdales,  are scheduled to make several appearances in the area between February 5th and 8th to help celebrate Schilling Distributing’s 75th Anniversary doing business in Acadiana.

Early Voting starts Saturday for a special election in Lafayette Parish. On the ballot is the Senate District 23 seat, which was vacatedy by Jean-Paul Coussan when he was elected to the Public Service Commission.
