Cajun Softball To Baton Rouge for NCAA

Despite a number nine RPI, UL Softball was slighted by the NCAA selection committee and placed in Baton Rouge for the regional Round as a number two seed behind LSU.

This caused quite an uproar on Sunday on social media as some fans feel the Cajuns should have hosted the regional as a national seed.

Before the Sun Belt conference, long-time sportswriter Kevin Foote expounded in an article about worries of being a 15 or 16 seed where they would face the number one or two seed in the Super Regionals.

As it stands, the Cajuns will face Omaha and will more likely have to face LSU to make the Super Regional round and possibly trip to Oklahoma City for the World Series.
