A bill allowing Louisiana residents, 18 and older, to carry a concealed handgun without a permit received final approval from lawmakers Wednesday.

An armed and dangerous inmate who stole a sheriff’s cruiser in the New Orleans area is back in custody.

The Rayne Police Department is asking for the public’s help in finding 30-year-old Bryan A. Wilson. Wilson is accused of simple kidnapping and domestic abuse battery.

The Opelousas High football team has been stripped of its championship and its head coach has been suspended, according to multiple reports.
