Today’s Country Legend was born March 26, in Knoxville, Tennessee. He received his first guitar for Christmas and began teaching himself how to play it. Played baseball and football in High School, was honored with the 1997 Academy of Country Music’s New Male Vocalist of the Year award, and has recorded more than 20 albums that include more than 40 Top 10 singles, 32 of which have reached number one.
