Kaplan drivers will have a new speed limit to obey near Kaplan Elementary School. The city is implementing a school zone, with a speed limit of 15 mph.

High School teams will compete in the annual Jamborees this Thursday and Friday; Notre Dame will play Lafayette High at STM, Rayne will compete in the Acadia/Vermilion Jamboree on Thursday in Rayne against Erath, and Crowley will travel to Abbeville on Friday.

The Louisiana Ragin Cajuns will host Grambling this Saturday night to start the 2024 campaign, while LSU will travel to Las Vegas to face USC on Sunday Night.
