The Vermilion Parish Sheriff’s Office has announced an enforcement aimed at reducing speeding violations throughout the parish.

A Pierre Part man cited for alleged commercial fishing violations in St. Mary Parish on Nov. 13, according to Louisiana Department of Wildlife and Fisheries (LDWF).

Earlier this month, the Acadia Parish Police Jury submitted a Legislative Cash Request, asking the state for help addressing critical infrastructure, maintenance, and security needs throughout the parish — all state-mandated responsibilities that fall on the parish.
